About us

The story behind Souk & Stone

Somewhere between the silence of the desert, the warmth of sun-baked earth, and the rhythm of ancient souks, Souk & Stone began.

Morocco has always felt like more than a destination to us. It is a place of contrasts: raw yet refined, timeless yet constantly evolving. A place where colour, texture, and craftsmanship are woven into everyday life. Where objects are not simply made, but shaped by time, tradition, and human hands.

Souk & Stone was born from a deep appreciation for that beauty. Behind every handwoven wool rug is a person, a tradition, and a craft passed down through generations. That is why we work closely with the artisans and small makers behind the pieces we curate. Through our travels and relationships in Morocco, we seek out work that reflects the soul of the country: honest, tactile, and made with intention.

From our base in Granada, we deliver across Spain, bringing these one-of-a-kind wool rugs into homes near and far. We invite you to discover them.

With love,

Marie

Handwoven wool

Never mass produced

The craft

Made slowly. Meant to last.

Three promises woven into every handwoven wool rug we bring home.

Handwoven wool

Every piece is a handwoven wool rug. Slow craft, natural fibres, and living texture you can feel underfoot.

One of a kind

No two rugs alike. Each carries its own Berber geometry, colour story, and quiet character.

Across Spain

Based in Granada, we deliver throughout Spain so these wool rugs can find a home near and far.

Giving back

5% of every sale supports Jarjeer

Morocco gives these rugs their soul. In return, we give back. Five percent of every sale goes to Jarjeer, a sanctuary near Marrakech that offers rest, healing, and dignity to Morocco's working horses, mules, and donkeys.

When you bring a Souk & Stone rug home, you also help care for the animals that have carried so much of Moroccan life on their backs.
